Peter & Cherylann, when I first came up with the idea of inviting a bunch of my friends to the Hotel Jeffery for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, I had no idea that we would have so much fun! You took us repelling down a frightful cavern, you took us to Yosemite and you toured us through California's historical Gold Country. Each evening when our bus dropped us off at the hotel, Chef Bill cooked up a fabulous dinner, paired with some wonderfully welcome wines, and you made us wear silly things on our faces. We happily passed away the evenings in your Saloon - who'da thunk that a bunch of L.A. folks could be such a riot! Thanks so much for your hospitality, and we'd like to reserve the entire hotel again this year over the Thanksgiving holiday! |

Father's day in June 1998. We got married on July 4th and had our wedding reception at your hotel. We rented the entire top floor rooms for our family. We had a wonderful time, and was very sad when we heard it closed up. However we are very excited to come and visit again now that you have reopened. Hope to see you soon. Good Luck to you! |

What a wonderful place to stay! My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful details of the hotel, dining room and saloon during our stay in June 2005. We experienced a night that was back in time -- 1800's, yet very sophisticated and intimate. At the Victorian era restaurant we were served dinners that were artistic and scrumptious! Our hosts visited with us before and after our meal, and made us feel welcome. Our bedroom was most personable; and the bed was more than comfortable with its firm fat mattress, crisp white linens and unique colorful handmade quilt -- it was inviting. The basket of thick thirsty towels set on an antique dressor and the small bowl of wrapped soaps welcomed us to freshen up and relax for the evening. We have never enjoyed an overnight stay as much as this visit. We look forward to returning again soon. |
